BIRLA EXCEL LAUNCHED
Orient Cement, a part of the C.K. Birla group of Companies, unveiled its latest offering - BIRLA EXCEL SUPER STRONG CEMENT, during a grand launch meet held in Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) during May, 2007. With the introduction of Birla Excel, Orient Cement has further strengthened its commitment and constant endeavour to provide only the very best to its consumers.
Initial reports received post launch, depict a favourable and rapidly growing acceptance for the Brand.

Hyderabad, June 07: Orient Cement, a Division of Orient
Paper & Industries Limited and a part of the C.K.Birla Group of
Companies was awarded the prestigeous "Cleaner Production Award" by the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board on Sunday, June 05,
on the occasion of the World Environment Day.
At a ceremony held at the Jubilee Hall, in the Public Garden at
Hyderabad, presided over by Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri.
Y.S.Rajsekhar Reddy, the Award was received by Shri Bhagwat Pandey,
Executive Vice President, Orient Cement from Shri. S.Vijaya Rama
Raju, Minister for Forests & Environment, Government of Andhra
Pradesh. A TPM, ISO-9001:2001 and ISO-14001 certified company, and soon
to be accredited with the OHASAS-18001 certification, Orient
Cement is the only company to have received "Cleaner Production
Award" from among 21 other cement manufacturing plants in Andhra
Pradesh".
Orient Cement has been the recipient of several prestigious
national awards in the past in recognition of its energy efficient
technologies, FAPCCI award for outstanding efforts in the area of
rural development and environment improvement.
